Comet catches the movement of light across the sky, in this angular, sculptural floating shelf, which along with Corona and Into the Abyss, features in the Celestial Series. The overhang on the front, combined with its finely tapered end, leaves viewers with an initial reaction of confusion as to how it can defy gravity. This sculptural piece is handcarved and whilst in can be made in any size or timber, it is pictured here in Ash in the above listed dimensions. It features concealed brackets which have to be tailored by hand in order to get provide the maximum support whilst still being hidden. It is designed either as a piece of functional art when displaying your favourite ornament or as a sculpture in itself.
